  So you think you're fast...

If you've raced before, or if you want to start, we'll get you where you want to be.  We've fielded numerous women's teams to races in Australia and the US (Hawaii, California, and Guam).  Our men, to date, have only competed as part of composite teams.

Guam '99: SCSOC begins its attack on Gaga Jam.
Races come in a few different varieties.  In the OC-6 (six person boat) there are sprints of various lengths (as short as 500m) as well as long distance marathons.  Some of the races are completed with the same six people (iron) or with substitutes via sea-changes.  There are also OC-1 and OC-2 events at most races.  You can check out some of our past races and times on the scoreboard.
Even if you're a beginning paddler, you can be competing in some of the biggest races by the end of a few months of training.  It's been done before -- and it's a lot of fun. Guam '99: Canoes round the buoy at Umatec Bay.
