when's the

paddle?

  When can you go?

We paddle 12 months a year, hitting the water whenever we can find six people and a few free hours.  We all have day jobs, and we're frequently out of Hong Kong, so the schedule is quite fluid.

Recreational sessions are run during the weekend.  On a slow weekend there may be only one session.  On a busy weekend, there may be as many as four.
Competitive paddling involves extra training, usually three to four sessions a week working on different aspects (strength, endurance, and technique).  Very often we'll run weeknight sessions to accommodate training schedules.
We do our scheduling over e-mail, so to get in the boat, you need to contact our scheduler (paddle_hk@hotmail.com).
If you've never paddled before, don't worry.  We've trained many paddlers and are always happy to share the sport. The Kona '99 crew doing some dryland training.
The first two paddling sessions are free, and we won't put the hard sell on you.  To see the fine print on dues and fees, go to the lunch money section.
